St. Arnold's High School
St. Arnold's High School was established by Fr.Joseph Puthumana S.V.D. in the year 1974. It is owned and managed by Divine word Educational Society, Habsiguda, Hyderabad, Which is registered under the Andhra Pradesh Societies registration act 1350( Reg. No. 3704 of 1995). The Succesive Principals were Fr. Anthony Joseph, Fr. Venance Asirvadham, Fr. Casmir D'Souza, Fr. Santhuraja, Fr.Anthony Samy and at present Fr.Joe Pavastin. The motto of St. Arnold's High School is "Go and teach all nations". It is a christian minority unaided Educational Institution. The thrust of the school is making children capable of becoming responsible, productive and useful members of society by improving knowledge skills and attitudes built through learning experiences. Keeping this in view the school aims at Academic Excellence, Development of Skills, Character Formation, Cultivation of Scientific Temper and Love for Nature and envisioning the roles of young students in shaping the future of our nation, through a child centered education. The educational agency of the school resolved to upgrade the school with ICSE curriculum from the academic year 2023-24 starting with pre primary, primary and thereafter upgrading the classes every year. ICSE curriculum implements theme based learning.The teaching process is interactive and constructive. This curriculum often integrates a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application to encourage holistic understanding of subjects. Additionally this curriculum typically focuses on inquiry based learning, encouraging students to ask questions; explore and discover knowledge themselves rather than passively learning information. Its independent learning. ICSE is known for its comprehensive syllabus with pri- marily focusing on English language and various subjects. In the assessment area , it covers all aspects of students development and growth, scholastic and co-scholastic. Along with written examination, a variety of tools are used for assessment like observation, oral assessment, listening exercises, project works, written assignments, activities and periodical class tests. The scholastic year consists of two terms. In each term students will have to take a midterm test and term examination.
